Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has named a total of 10 foreign-based players in the national team Flames squad that will face Namibia in the 2014 World Cup qualifier in Windhoek on Saturday March 23.
The professionals comprised of a goalkeeper, three defenders, three strikers and two midfielders will not come to Malawi instead they will join the team in Namibia.
On the list, Interim Malawi head coach Eddington Ng’onamo has called Mozambican based Flames first choice goalkeeper Simplex Nthara, Angolan based sweeper James ‘Shareholder’ Sangala, South African based striker Robin Ngalande.
Also included are Mozambique-based players – Zicco Mkanda, Jose Kamwendo, Moses Chavula and Harry Nyirenda.

The call-up also includes South African based Limbikani Mzamva, Atusaye Nyondo, Robert Baggio Robert ’Baggio’ Ng’ambi and Peter Wadabwa.
Meanwhile, Ng’onamo is drilling a new look 25-member provisional squad of home based players at a training camp in Blantyre.
Ng’onamo, who replaced Kinnah Phiri, is being assisted by Patrick Mabedi and Ernest Mtawali.
Charles Manda is the Team Manager while Captain Kondwani Chipanda is the team doctor.
The home based squad has some notable omissions such as Green Harawa and Dave Banda who were regulars under axed coach Kinnah Phiri.
Veteran winger Fischer Kondowe, who fell out with Kinnah, also returns alongside Big Bullets team mates Sankhani Mkandawire and Douglas Chirambo.
