Malawi Police Service in Lilongwe have arrested the country’s Ombudsman Justice Tujirane Chidzumira.
Police said they have arrested Chizumila and would want to quiz her on two counts of Abuse of office and theft.
Deputy National Police publicist Kelvin Maigwa has confirmed the arrest.

Tujilane Chizumila: Malawi’s Ombudsman arrested
“Police are interested to question the Ombudsman on allegations of theft and abuse of office,” Maigwa told Nyasa Times.
Chizumira was taken to Police Headquarters at Area 30 for interrogations.
