Malawi national football team missed out on qualification for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations finals after losing to Ghana 1-0 ina return match at Civo Stadium in the capital Lilongwe on Saturday afternoon.
In the first leg in Accra, Malai lost 2-0.
Ghana started the match strongly and took an early lead inside three minutes.
Malawi gradually took a stranglehold in midfield and began to dominate possession, but they were unable to really stretch the well-organised Black Stars backline.
Kinnah: Tough luck
The visitor remained resolute to secure their qualification.
