Chiumia: Help valued

Speaking on behalf of his friends, deputy chairperson of the group, Mulilima Chalamba, concurred with Chiumia saying by presenting the items; it does not mean that they have a lot to spare.

Chalamba said “these goods were sourced from fellow students. Some were giving us money, others soap and sugar. However, this does not mean that we don’t need these groceries but we want to tell people out there that especially students that they have a role to play as citizens of this country. ”

One of the beneficiaries, Elizabeth Songeya, who received a packet of sugar and four tablets of soap, commend the group and asked it to do same to others.

Songeya said “we appreciate your presence and whatever you have done to us. Know that your presence here is enough to make us happy. Personally, she added, “I have learnt that to help someone does not require you to have plenty.”

During the ceremony, 21 patients received at least a packet of sugar and four tablets of u-fresh soap.
