Malawi Police are holding in custody a a 42 year old man quack for allegedly running a medical clinic by posing as a doctor in the capital Lilongwe.
Theaccused, identified as Daniel Chisamba from Chimamba village, Traditional Authority Kabudula was operating a clinic in Mchesi township without a licence.
Lilongwe Police Assistant Public Relations Officer Kingsley Dandaula told Nyasa Times that the suspect was caught during a drug sweeping operation.
“The police were on a drug sweeping operation and a tip was received that the suspect was operating a clinic without a licence,” Dandaula said.

“Upon following the tip, police arrested the suspect and confiscated assorted drugs and medical equipment,” said Dandaula.
The suspect will appear in court soon.
